Spring into fighting climate change and fuel poverty with ECOE!

As we hope to emerge from what has felt like an especially bleak winter, why not brighten your days with us? Exeter Community Energy is helping tackle some of today’s biggest problems, from climate change to fuel poverty. But we’re so busy we always need help. So, here’s another seasonal call for new volunteers and directors.

We welcome anyone with the interest and passion to help ECOE. We’d be especially interested if you:

  • Can help with marketing and events;
  • Would like to develop new projects;
  • Have experience making funding applications;
  • Or you would like to help bring in commercial sponsorship.

Is this you? Or perhaps you know other people who could do these roles, or email or internet discussion groups of local people who would consider something like this? Do you know anyone with the skills and available time commitment to fill these important roles? Or would you like further information about role responsibilities? For any questions, please contact Tara Bowers, chair, in the first instance. Her email is tara@ecoe.org.uk and her telephone number is 07731 540215.

The roles best suit you if you have a strong interest in helping the environment and/or local community and would therefore be motivated to spend their spare time on this. ECOE is looking for both volunteers and also potentially new directors. Directors must be ECOE shareholders with a minimum £50 investment. Volunteers don’t need to invest. Overall, we are ideally looking for people able to commit a significant amount of time, upwards of ten hours per month, but welcome all enquiries.
