We had a great volunteer evening at the Globe Inn last month – thanks to everyone who came along and helped us eat their delicious pizza. Some new faces that we met on the night are already busy helping make Solar PV1 a reality.
If you missed it do not fear, we’d still love you to be involved. The more people we have on board the better our project will be. Please do get in touch.
Solar PV1
There’s a job for everyone – you might want to help us with social media, marketing or assist at events or distribute flyers. Or you might join our roof subgroup or our new funding subgroup and help us identify and follow up leads. We can teach you everything you need to know. For info please contact gillwyatt@ecoe.org.uk.
A Monthly Social
Every second Thursday we’ll be meeting up from 18.00 in the cafe/bar of the Phoenix to chat about ECOE and get to know each other better. Do come along. The next will be on May 15th.
Energy Efficiency
We recently put in a funding bid to the Department for Energy and Climate Change to develop an energy advice and action service for Exeter. The fund was only available to 20 communities nationwide and unfortunately our bid was not successful. However, the process of putting it together has given us a good framework to build on and we are currently looking at more funding opportunities and most importantly, creating a new subgroup to focus on driving this issue. If you’d like to get involved please don’t hesitate to get in touch: info@ecoe.org.uk.
Relight My Fire
We are working on an exciting project to run a multi-venue, multi-disciplinary festival of arts projects that focus on energy issues, in collaboration with RegenSW, the Bikeshed Theatre and Kaleider. We’re not quite ready to announce dates or a programme yet but together with our partners we are really excited about the opportunity this gives to open our message out to a broader audience, improve links between cultural, community and business groups in Exeter and not to mention create an incredible and innovative arts project that will have a lasting legacy. If you’d like to get involved please contact joe@ecoe.org.uk.
