Radhika Mohan, ECOE’s new finance director

ECOE creates not only the future of clean energy in Exeter, but also a different vision of doing business, as a central part of our local community. As such, when we get a new director, we let everyone know. Today, we’re delighted to introduce our new finance director, Radhika Mohan. Read on to find out more about her!

What is your background?

I’m an ACCA-qualified finance professional with an international background. My career has taken me across the UK, UAE, Europe, and the Middle East. Along the way, I’ve worked in industries ranging from insurance technology and software-as-a-service to healthcare, aviation, and consultancy. Most of my experience is in management accounting and financial operations, supporting businesses with reporting, budgeting, process improvements, and keeping the finance side of things running smoothly. I genuinely enjoy bringing order to messy processes. Working in different countries and cultures has taught me a lot about collaboration, adaptability, and the importance of good coffee in fast-paced environments.

What motivated you to join ECOE?

I joined ECOE because its mission to support a greener, fairer future strongly aligns with my own values. I’m particularly motivated by the opportunity to contribute to work that combines sustainability, community impact, and practical solutions to challenges like fuel poverty and energy efficiency.
I’m also drawn to ECOE’s community-led approach, where energy projects directly benefit local people and reinvest into the area. Being part of an organisation that turns environmental goals into tangible outcomes is what makes ECOE especially meaningful to me.

What should members and supporters talk to you about if they bump into you?

If members and supporters bump into me, I’m always happy to talk about anything finance-related—whether that’s budgeting, planning, or making numbers make sense in everyday decisions.
Outside of that, I enjoy reading, discovering new places, and cooking, so I’m just as happy swapping book recommendations, travel ideas, or recipes and kitchen experiments.
