When they join us, we like to introduce you to keep you up to date. We’re excited to introduce our latest directorial recruit is Jen Cook, who brings much-needed legal knowledge to the team. Read on to find all about her.
What is your role at ECOE?
I’ve joined ECOE as Director with legal experience.
What is your background?
I am a solicitor with specialist knowledge of non-standard corporate structures, commercial law, procurement processes and large project work. In particular, I enjoy projects which make a tangible difference to local issues including for schools and local authority service delivery. I have worked in private practice, but spent the majority of my career working in-house for local authorities.
What motivated you to join ECOE?
The legal profession and social value and have a historically difficult relationship, but I have always wanted to use my knowledge to improve local provision. I am looking forward to supporting ECOE to deliver direct public benefit in my local area.
What should members and supporters talk to you about if they bump into you?
Anything you like! Public sector infrastructure is always a hit. Tell me about building projects, new cycle routes, innovative ideas for collecting bins; I’m all ears. Also dogs.
