Members news (Feb 2017)
We’ve recently rewritten the Members page on the ECOE website. This page is designed to provide all of the information that you, our members, might need. Please do have a look and if something isn’t clear or we’ve left something out, let us know.
We successfully raised the £70,000 required. Thanks to the 24 members and supporters for investing. This has enabled ECOE to repay the previous short term loan arranged that enabled ECOE to cover all of the installations costs above the £390,000 raised in the share offer.
All loan documents have now been signed and returned to you, so if you haven’t received yours please contact us.
A few of you have been asking when to expect your first interest payment. That information is now included on the members page. Interest payments will be decided at every AGM, directors make a recommendation to the AGM and then members discuss and vote on that recommendation. At the AGM in June 2016, we decided that as there was only just over a month in the financial year to be considered, no payment would be made until after the AGM in 2017. We know its a long time to wait, its the result of the date of share issue being so close to ECOE’s year end.
We are preparing our systems so that payment of interest can go as smoothly as possible. To this end, if you haven’t already set up a password for yourself to access your profile and updated your information, will you make sure you do this asap. For those of you who have chosen for interest payments to be paid into your bank account, we need up-to-date information about this bank account.

Energy Efficient Exeter: What role for ECOE?
1st March 17.30 to 19.00 at the Meeting Room, Stephens Scown LLP
The evening event brings the focus to Exeter. We’re hoping lots of our members and supporters will come along and others involved with saving energy in Exeter to explore what’s been working and what hasn’t and what role might there be for ECOE. Some of the presenters from the earlier event are staying on to tell us about the innovative community projects that have worked for them.
