Avalon Energy, The Power to Transform the south west

Molly has recently published a report into the potential for a green economy in the south west, and is launching it at this event in association with the Resilience Centre and Avalon Energy. DECC heat pump roadshow comes to Exeter
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) is providing a series of free one-day training courses, designed to help businesses, developers and housing providers to understand how heat pumps can deliver lower energy bills, greater comfort and better buildings. The roadshows will offer participants the chance to learn more about why heat pumps make sense, build their technical knowledge of how best to ensure good performance and understand the financing of heat pumps.

Share offers around the south west
Congratulations to Tresoc in Totnes and PECR in Plymouth for recent successful share offers.

Dart Renewables has raised the £1.3 million to build a 300kW hydro system at Totnes Weir, which will provide power for up to 380 homes. And thanks to TRESOC a fifth of the money was raised from local investment. Find out more here.

PEC have successfully raised another £850,000 on the second share issue. This will include installing on the roof of the Plymouth Life Centre, which is likely to become the biggest solar roof in Plymouth. More information here

Low Carbon Gordano have completed construction on their five acre 1.8MW Moorhouse Solar Park was offically opened on 9 May 2015. The project is expected to deliver 1,750MWh annually and reduce CO2 emissions by 850 tonnes. They are now ready to launch a second share offer for another project. You can find out more here.
