News from Our Team including Volunteering Opportunities

We have a new Finance Director
A very big welcome to Peter Bowers. His background is in management accountancy within the Insurance and Pension industry, now retired we wants to help ECOE with its finances. Perfect timing and we’re all looking forward to working with Peter and being able to ask him all of those financial queries!

A welcome to Edward and a goodbye to Andrew
Following our announcement in our January newsletter that we needed a new book keeper, it wasn’t long before Edward Macmullen was on board.

Thanks so much Andrew for all of your help over the last 2 years and keeping going during the share launch when you really wanted to stop. We all appreciated your support.

And a warm welcome to Edward. I asked him to introduce himself and say something about his interest in being ECOE’s book keeper ..

I first came across ECOE at the Respect Festival and was impressed by the warm welcome and enthusiasm demonstrated by the stall members – one of whom I later learned was Gill!  I have been interested in both renewable energy and domestic energy reduction for several years and have both Solar PV and low energy appliances in my house, coupled with high levels of insulation.

I have been looking for “something to do” since giving up my last job as a freelance yacht delivery skipper, prior to that I had worked in both the public and private sector in managerial capacities including accounts, and ECOE seemed to fit nicely with my skill set and interests (Oh…. and I’m a spreadsheet nerd!)
