World’s largest floating solar farm prepares to power up in London
23,000 panels will produce about 6.3MW when it’s turned on later this month
The planned nuclear power station at Hinkley is being regarded by many as a looming disaster. The power plant’s already 8 years overdue. And by the time it’s finished, it’ll be the most expensive object on earth. All this while the government is cutting support for renewable energy — even though the cost of solar and wind power continue to fall. Greenpeace have organised a petition, who can sign it here
