The government response to the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) review
DECC announced its revised feed-in tariffs on December 17th. They had received over 55,000 responses which shows how concerned people have been about the proposed FiT review. It wasn’t as bad as the industry was expecting but there also wasn’t much to celebrate either!

Changes to tariffs
Most of the changes are not as drastic as put forward in the consultation for the FiT review. There were higher tariff levels for solar PV less than 50kW but slightly lower rates for larger solar PV – more than 1MW – and ground-mount solar PV. Also higher tariffs for onshore wind between 50kW and 1.5MW announced. However Hydro faired less well seeing more reduction in their proposed FiT review levels.
