Exeter Pound launched in Sept 2015 and now has 131 traders. The next step is to go digital as this will widen participation and bring greater benefits to businesses as it will facilitate large transactions, enable traders to trade with each other (growing the resilience and sustainability of a joined up local economy), and allow payments by mobile phone with an app or by text.
